David de Alva was born in Madrid, Spain in 1962 while his parents were on a European tour with internationally know Pilar Lopez Flamenco Dance Company. David began his studies at the age of ten with Protégées of Segovia and Romero Brothers in their master classes. Later, he continues his flamenco guitar training with the inspiration of Paco de Lucia, Manitas de Plata, Carlos Montoya and Sabicas. His talents have brought special excitements to concerts in New York, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Seville, Street Scenes of San Diego, San Francisco and many others. During his extensive tours abroad, his music was also inspired by Brazilian Jazz, South American and Mediterranean rhythm to create a unique blend of traditional Flamenco and World fusion style music. Surely, David de Alva, uncommon talent, versatility, and impressive musical repertory must rank him among the extraordinary artists of our times.
