chez bride moderne was created in 2004 by cher roesch, a southern california newlywed of beautiful la jolla, california. a year earlier, after an exhausting and disappointing search throughout all of san diego for her own wedding dress, cher was compelled to venture outside of the area for that perfect dress. traveling far and wide, she searched... orange county, los angeles and even as far as san francisco. not only was she looking for the perfect dress, she was also looking for the wedding dress-shopping experience she had always dreamed of... the discount department store feel of local san diego bridal shops was far from the milieu cher expected to find in such a beautiful and sophisticated city. not only was the selection disappointing, but the entire experience was impersonal and just plain frustrating. cher was forced to buy that perfect wedding dress outside of san diego. she would soon realize, after sharing her experience with her friends, colleagues and other recent brides, that she was not alone in her expectations and desire for this wedding dress shopping experience to be special. almost everyone she spoke with had also shopped the local bridal stores in their search, had become frustrated with the experience, and eventually bought their wedding dress outside of san diego. this experience is what led to the creation of chez bride moderne... a chic bridal boutique, here in san diego, destined to create a wedding dress shopping experience to exceed all of your expectations.
