We are a small, boutique catering company specializing in Pacific Rim cuisine along with Japanese specialty items & our unique “Live-Action” mobile sushi bar! Pacific Island Catering, originally Yokozuna’s Pacific Islander Catering, was created & introduced to San Diego in 1998 by a group of friends from a “Chop Suey” of cultures, wanting to share their love of Hawaiian Kau Kau items, Chamorro delicacies & Japanese Sushi. Within due time, Yokozuna’s Sushi Bar & Islander Grill was born, had became a local favorite in the South Bay and soon there was a high demand for catering! Today, we could not be grateful enough for the continued patronage and referrals of our past & present catering clients. We are very PROUD to still remain one of San Diego’s hidden treasures! Our menu derives from a blend of personal tastes, flavors from the Pacific Rim & family recipes passed on from generation to generation, creating some fabulous island cuisine! Mixed with some of our native staples such as imported coconuts, taro leaves & Hawaiian sea salt, our dishes are truly “gourmet” in their own right!
